A two tone rosary necklace crafted in 18k gold, dating to the late twentieth century.
The design features a long strand of polished white and yellow gold beads leading to a central rotating medal that has Jesus on one side and flips to reveal an image of the Virgin Mary. Surrounding the medal is a frame of round brilliant diamonds set in white gold for a clean, bright finish. The drop section continues with additional beads and ends in a mechanical diamond set cross, designed with an articulated element that moves freely.
This rosary is substantial in weight and thoughtfully constructed, reflecting the craftsmanship of devotional jewelry produced during this era. Acid tested for 18k gold. The necklace measures 33 inches in length, with a 6 1/8 inch drop, and weighs 101.7 grams.
