An elegant pair of Art Deco platinum and diamond drop earrings.
Each earring has a floral-inspired top section accented with smaller round diamonds. Below it hangs an open tear-drop shaped halo with a cushion cut diamond, framed by graduating Old European diamonds.
The earrings display a combination of geometric and nature motifs that are hallmarks of Art Deco jewelry. Floral elements of the era moved away from the organic shapes of the Art Nouveau period. Instead, they became more structured, with clear lines and symmetrical layouts. In these earrings, the floral top shows this stylistic change, combining natural motifs with the geometric precision that defines Art Deco jewelry.
This gorgeous pair of diamond drop earrings is an impressive example of 1920s jewelry design, that combines symmetry with detailed craftsmanship.
The earrings are made of platinum and diamonds. The diamonds are Old European and old cushion cuts, two largest cushion cut diamonds are N-O color, VS2 clarity weighing 2.18 carats, total diamond weight is approximately 12.0 carats.
The earrings measure 1 3/8" x 5/8" (3.5 x 1.5 cm) and weigh 20.1 grams.
