Gustave Cimiotti (1875 - 1969) American "Winter' Oil on Board Signed Lower Right 12"x16" 1925 Allied Artist American 12Th Annual Exhibition Label To Reverse Called the "Grand Old Man of Romanticism," Gustave Cimiotti was one of the exhibitors at the Armory Show of 1913 with two entries, The Barrier" and "Hillside. He was a student of John Twachtmann and also studied at the Academy Julian in Paris. He was a close friend of John La Farge and Winslow Homer.
