  • Description:Antique 14kt Bohemian Garnet Brooch/Pendant, Star Shaped, Early 1900's. The pin back and setting is a silver tone metal that does not test as sterling. It had a 14kt gold pinback added at some point and also a hinged bail to make it a pendant as well. both the bail and pinback are 14kt tested and marked. The brooch hhas five tears of garnets, It is appx. 1.5" wide and tall - taller with the pendant bail in the upward position. All garnets are present and original. Bohemian garnets are a pyrope gemstone from the Czech Republic. This is beileved to be fromt he 1920's. It is not signed by the maker. Very good condition and a very desireable piece. These pieces, without gold can bring $250-$350.00 and higher. (W51321.16X5 SS10621 J LD 5/21?23).
