Description
Lightweight wood has been fashioned into a long rectangular box and then has been coated in lacquer. The design is intricate with a pair of stylized peacocks on the top lid. The colors are red, and black with gilt accents. The interior is a very rich, red lacquer. The base is painted in black lacquer. The lid fits the box exactly.
There are no marks or labels.

CONDITION
There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There are a few lacquer losses on edges. The largest is on the lid's lower corner edge. Otherwise, the box's lacquer is in good shape; It is still bright and colorful.
The elaborately decorated Burmese folk art box can be used to store longer items or to decorate with.
