Description
The decoration on the jars is of pheasants and peonies. There are dark glazed bands around the shoulder and bases that resemble bronze, and a thin line of iron at the mouth of both jars. The body is glazed with a pale off-white crackle glaze. The feet are rounded and unglazed. The clay is white.
Apocryphal reign marks for the Chenghua reign are etched within squares under the base of both vases. The squares have been given a dark glaze
