  • Size:Cup – 2 7/8 in (7.3 cm) diameter x 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm) tall.
    Saucer – 5 1/4 in (13.3 cm) diameter x 15/16 in (2.4 cm) deep.
  • Description:An English Staffordshire teacup and saucer by Allerton. It was produced for a child's tea set and has a more uncommon "Little Mae" variation. It has a lovely Victorian aesthetic.

    The molded ceramic teacup and saucer have a red transfer in a design of a little girl with flowers in her apron walking along a lane. The cup and saucer have a shallow foot. The glaze is thin and shiny.

    Neither piece has any hallmarks or labels.

    MEASUREMENTS
    Cup – 2 7/8 in (7.3 cm) diameter x 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm) tall.
    Saucer – 5 1/4 in (13.3 cm) diameter x 15/16 in (2.4 cm) deep.
    Weighs 8.1 oz.

    CONDITION
    There are no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs to either piece. The teacup has manufacture flaws, such as a rough surface. Both pieces have crazing to the glaze, transfer misses, bumps and a few tiny dark spots in the glaze.

    A cute, very Victorian set to add to a collection or to add to a room’s decor.
