CONDITION: The automaton presents beautifully and is in very good vintage condition, exhibiting only minor surface wear and patina consistent with age and careful use. The gilded finish remains bright, with no losses to the gilding and no missing jewel accents. Both birds remain in very good condition with no apparent feather loss. The mechanism is currently operational. Both birds chirp and wag their tails, and the red bird moves freely from side to side. The yellow bird does not presently move laterally, likely due to aged lubrication within the mechanism.
