This rich landscape, typical of May's work shows the purple haze mountains surrounded by the lush landscape during the fall months of this spectacular part of USA. Edith May lived in Palo Alto, California and traveled around her native state and the southwest, she simply loved to paint. She kept a gallery in Soquel, California for a short time.
