Description
A pair of William IV/Regency style carved maple or satinwood and leather upholstered armchairs. This pair was made in England in the late 19th dentury. Elegant.
Each chair has a squared back inset with red/purple leather upholstery, the scrolling arms over posts with acanthus or waterleaf carving, over-the-rail upholstered with red/purple leather upholstery, raised on four square tapering legs and scrolled feet.
Chairs measure 35 inches high x 25 inches wide and 28 inches deep. The armrest is 25 inches from the floor.
Condition:
Alterations: Restored
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: The chairs are in good condition, but they do show some signs of age. There are three areas from the middle of the backrest to the upper portion, three scrapes to the leather. They measure 1 and a quarter to four inches. The upholstery is pulling away from the frame on the back of one of the chairs. Both chairs present very well.
