Helsingborg, Sweden seaport since medieval days, a stronghold opposite Elsinore, Denmark. In 1658 it was ceded by Denmark To Sweden. in 1670 it was seized by the Danes plundering the Swedes in a massacre called the Battle Of Helsingborg. Shakespeare used Elsinore and it's environment as the place for his play Hamlet.

The family name Rosenkrantz was used by Shakespeare in the play Hamlet. Dodie Rosenkrantz one of San Francisco's wealthiest women, (who was also a muse of Picasso) and did two huge paintings of Niels and claimed she was a descendent.
