Description
A magnificent piece of 19th Century American antique; a hand carved American-wood sculpture of a head bust, which we believe to have been used in a milliner's shop (hat shop). We can tell this from the flat back portion of the head, which is the same techniques the French used for their milliner mannequins.
This one of a kind piece is of a solid piece of wood that has been hand carved to detail the delicate features of the face; which are also stained a super dark shade of burgundy. It's all very gorgeous and mesmerizing.
