Description
David Bumbeck, a professor and artist, was born in 1940 and known for his technical acumen when rendering his steel plate images. His works are evocative of a different era in art, when intaglio cameos and silhouettes were plentiful and print making was more common. The artist is included in several permanent collections across some of the world's most prestigious museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum and the Library of Congress.
This particular piece is titled "Il Campione" (translating to mean "The Champion" in English) and numbered 28/30.
Piece was sourced without frame and matched with an antique raised floral plaster gold leaf piece to enhance the overall artwork. Remains in good condition.
