28" barrel, S/N 7885. Caliber .30 Army/30-40 Krag. The top of the receiver is marked “U.S.” The right side of the receiver is marked with Winchester's address and patent numbers. The rear tang is marked with the Winchester roll mark and Model 1895. Overall, this rifle is in good condition, retaining some of its original blued finish. The bore appears to be in good condition with strong rifling. The wood is in fairly good condition with minor dents throughout and what appears to be a repair on the right side of the stock.
