This vintage American patchwork quilt is constructed from machine-pieced cotton fabrics with cotton batting and a plain white backing. The design features Variable Star blocks arranged in a diagonal color-blocked layout of pastel calico, floral, and gingham prints. The entire piece is finished with hand-quilted diagonal grid stitching.
