This large framed oil painting is by Thai artist Noparat Livisddhi, born 1932. This impressionist painting circa the 1970s depicts a majestic lion in the grass in bold lime greens and fiery oranges. The painting is nicely framed in graduated picture frame wood border.

Noparat Livisit is a Thai artist and patriarch of the Livisit family. Noparat is famous for his depictions of nature and the Thai countryside. He started to concentrate on oil painting in the late 1960s.
