Description
.Pair of Late 19th Century Italian Faience Mythological Wall Brackets made by the renowned Cantagalli Pottery of Florence, Italy. Brackets are hand-painted and decorated and feature a marine character, part human, part sea creature, and adorned with sweeping fins and curling tails. The polychrome glazes include deep cobalt blues, golden yellows, and earthy greens, enhancing the sculptural depth and Baroque-inspired theatricality of the figures. On reverse side of each bracket is a hand-painted rooster and the number 3. These unique sculptural art brackets can be used in today's interiors as statement art pieces, as traditional accent brackets, mixed in a gallery wall, or in bathrooms, living or dining areas.
