A very interesting aquatint by Heran Chaban in a style that strongly evokes the dynamics of the film Metropolis by Fritz Lang. The figure surrounded by looming walls sweeping upward bright light to the left side, darken to the right. Underneath very theatrical sky in searchlight bands. Focused on a singular figure at the dockside. Chaban born in 1887 and dies in 1939, French. reflects the art movements of symbolist, futurism, and the avant-garde of European visual arts. The size is 19" by 23". Hand numbered print 6/50, and hand signed to the bottom edge.
