Description
A pair of decorative fixed-blade knives produced by Franklin Mint and designed by Ray Beers. Both knives are presented in individual stained wood shadowbox frames featuring blue velvet-lined backings and brass identification plates. The Bald Eagle Knife features a gold-toned metal blade with a curved trailing point profile. Its handle is a cast composite figural depicting a bald eagle head and neck, accented with a black hilt, gold-toned rope-patterned ferrules, and spherical finials. The Eagle Knife features a polished steel scimitar-style blade with a serrated section near the hilt. The handle consists of a dark wood grip and a flared gold-toned crossguard with a green decorative band, topped by a cast figural pommel depicting a bald eagle with outstretched wings perched on a rock. Both blades are marked with the initials RB at the ricasso. Each knife is 13.5 in long.
