The rectangular case contains two dovetailed drawers with figured maple fronts, flower-form brass pulls, and circular escutcheons, while the sides display dramatic crotch-figured mahogany panels. Corner pendants flank a bold ring-turned central pedestal with an ebonized collar, set on a tripartite platform base with three downswept legs ending in brass-capped casters. The compact proportions and contrasting light-wood drawer fronts, and construction suggest New England manufacture.Dimensions: 26.5 in. H, 21.5 in. W, 18 in. Condition
Condition: Retains an old refinished surface with shrinkage cracks through the top and side panels. Small loss at the upper-left corner of the upper drawer front, scattered veneer repairs and edge wear, and age-appropriate marks throughout. Brass pulls appear period.
