bound with forged metal fittings and wooden fixtures, the hinged lid enclosing a void interior and painted storage compartment area, with twin handles, marked 'ALDECOA' or

Provenance:
by repute to have been fitted to the noble families horse drawn carriages for many years until the edwardian period where the carriages were replaced by a sucession of fine automobiles from the golden age, notably their Hispano-Suiza tourer.
Condition Report:
General wear, commensurate with age and use. Some small losses, abrasions and distress to leather. With small losses and chips to wood. Leather lock straps missing. No keys present. Hinges in good order. One painted internal compartment is slightly loose. Chest is structurally stable overall.
