Description
I believe this to be by Ben Viegers or the school of Ben Viegers. Based on other paintings of the same scene by Viegers and style of the canvas & frame I estimate this was painted sometime between the 1920s and 1940s. The Vintage gilt frame is beautiful and in very nice condition. This painting is not signed as far as I can tell. There appear to have been a couple of small restorations and there is some minor crazing in a couple of spots, but overall it is in very good condition. It measures 20" high x 26" wide (with frame) and 17" high x 23" wide by sight.
