Artist Biography
Born in 1973 in a small village in China, Dixon knew from an early age that he wanted to be an artist. Watching his grandfather work in the traditional art forms, Jeff was inspired
to continue the artistic legacy his grandfather set forth. Jeff studied at the Beijing Art Academy in China specializing in traditional art forms to the contemporary and modern styles.
Having formal training in the fine detail work instilled in him by his grandfather, Jeff had to reteach himself to become more fluid to master the organic feeling his abstracts reflect. even though his paintings have a very soft and blended appearance, the more you look , you can see that Jeff has used his detailed training to make a multitude of colors blend seamlessly to trick your eyes into seeing only one.
