Description: American Victorian walnut side table, circa 1860-1880, having a circular white marble top above a molded conforming frame. Four shaped and pierced supports incorporate scrolling profiles and Gothic-inspired cutouts, converging around a turned central urn-form finial. The supports continue into shaped legs with molded edges and restrained carved details. The compact proportions and architecturally conceived base distinguish the table from more conventional Rococo Revival marble-top stands.
Marks: Underside bears a faint handwritten BB notation.

Marble top exhibits scratches, staining, edge wear, and small surface imperfections. Walnut base has scattered scratches, abrasions, finish variation, small edge losses, cracks, and separations around the underside of the top frame. Scattered old repairs and age-related joint movement are present.
