In the mythology of ancient Greece, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, was so impressed by the great eyes and solemn demeanor of the owl that she made him her companion. Today the wise bird continues to embody the related qualities of wisdom and insight. This vintage owl is in very good condition. Design by Donald Pollard 1955. 5" high and approx. 10" diameter at widest part. Signed Stuben on base.
