This extraordinary plant stand appears to be made of jute and cane and wood. Sadly it has been painted and even more sad is that if I tried to strip it, the stripper would eat through the glue or whatever Is holding it together. But I have started peeling the paint in places where it was flaking. Not a bad paint color, almost a pearl white. The details on this side table/ plant stand are phenomenal even covered in paint. I think there is a high possibility there is scorched bamboo under there too!
