Antique Federal style, gorgeous, walnut-carved mirror with beautiful carved gold-painted acanthus leaves and flowers for its crown. This is one of a kind made by Kindel, (Oxford), Grand Rapids, Michigan. The back has its original tag and is numbered "125, G3." The age is uncertain, but I believe it was made between 1900-1940. This beautiful mirror is in exceptional condition, with no spotting in the mirror. There are some splits between the acanthus leaves and flowers of the gold side scrolling on both sides of the mirror. This could be normal to the trim. This is minor and an easy fix if desired. The walnut wood frame has aged well and exhibits a warm patina, with a wavy pattern to the walnut wood. This could be a tiger walnut? The gold crown of acanthus leaves and flowers is spectacular. Once again, each piece from Kindel was made to order and is, "one of a kind."
