This set was originally retailed by Burley & Company of Chicago. The set is in a beautiful, gilt pattern. Each scalloped or ruffled form rim is covered with gorgeous, raised gilt designs. There are latticework patterns, scroll and fan designs and lovely festoons or swags of flowers. This is a wonderful quality set. The undersides are marked with the Royal Doulton hallmarks used from 1923 to 1927 and a retailer’s mark for Burley & Company of Chicago. This set is in fabulous overall condition. There is hardly any wear to the raised, gilt designs. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks and no repairs. Each plate measures 10 3/8 inches in diameter
