This set comprises a pair of Realistic TRC-25A Citizens Band (CB) handheld transceivers, manufactured for Radio Shack, a Tandy Corporation company. Identified by catalog number 21-111, these 9-transistor, 2-channel solid-state units were manufactured in Korea and are dated May 1976 on the rear certification labels. The transceivers are constructed with molded plastic bodies and feature brushed and polished metal front faceplates with speaker grilles. Integrated controls include an analog battery meter with indicators for good or replace status, a sliding on/off power switch, a call/volume sliding control, and a rocker switch for switching between channels 1 and 2. Each unit is equipped with a side-mounted push-to-talk button, a silver-tone volume dial, a telescoping antenna, and a black wrist strap. The units utilize Channel 14 crystals as specified by the FCC Reg. Part 15. The lot includes two original cardboard retail boxes and molded polystyrene interior inserts.
