The device is constructed from cast iron with steel blades and a wood or composition handle knob. It features an integrated C-clamp mounting system with a T-handle screw for attachment to a workbench or tabletop. The frame displays raised lettering in banners reading SPRINGFIELD OHIO USA and THE EAGLE ENGINEERING CO. The crank handle is marked with the patent date PAT. APR. 9 18. The slicer utilizes crescent-shaped blades and a distinctive pointed guide horn for feeding materials. The cast iron components retain remnants of an original light blue-grey paint.
