Description
An earthenware vase produced by the Roseville Pottery Company in the Freesia pattern. The vessel features a bulbous body with a slightly flared rim and two small angular handles at the shoulders. The exterior surface is characterized by horizontal ribbing and finished with a matte gradient glaze transitioning from terracotta to dark brown at the base. It is decorated with high relief molded floral sprays of freesia blossoms in cream and yellow tones with green leaves. The interior is finished with a smooth tan glaze. The underside is marked with an incised Roseville U.S.A. signature and the shape number 120-7. A handwritten mark in black ink reading 17 / N is present on the base. Height: Approximately 7 inches.
