Mao Yan, male, born in Xiangtan, Hunan Province in 1968, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. He is now an associate professor, master tutor and director of the China Oil Painting Society. In 2019, it ranked 72nd in the 2020 Hurun China Art List with a total turnover of 5.06 million yuan. In 1992, Mao Yan held his first solo exhibition in Nanjing Art Institute, won the China Oil Painting Art Award in the Second China Oil Painting Exhibition in 1994, and held his "Illusion" solo exhibition in Shanghai Yibo Gallery in 2000. His conceptual portrait painting is famous for its extreme technical tendency and meticulous depiction. His works have participated in 39??29cm screen prints in exhibitions such as "Shanghai Fine Arts Biennale" and "20th Century China Oil Painting Exhibition".
