Item/Description: Early 20th century iridescent porcelain dressing table set comprising a pair of trumpet-form candlesticks, a circular lidded hair receiver, used to collect hair from brushes to later create "hair rats" (stuffing for elaborate hairstyles) and a scalloped clover-form trinket tray used for holding jewelry, hairpins, or small cosmetic items. Features white translucent porcelain bodies with a luminous opalescent, mother-of-pearl luster glaze and framed by hand-painted gold gilt borders

Front faces of the candlesticks and the center of the tray are customized with an Art Nouveau interlaced script monogram reading "EMK." Underside marked "T & V" inside a rectangle above "LIMOGES . FRANCE" identifying the porcelain blank as being manufactured by the historic firm Tressemann & Vogt in Limoges, France, between 1892 and 1907. Underside base of the hair receiver is marked with a green Austrian crown above "VIENNA / AUSTRIA" flanked by stylized shields.
