A lovely, realistic, and delicately detailed master study portrait in pastels on silk after the 1890 painting by Eduard von Grutzner (1845-1925), a German genre painter, titled Peasant Girl with a Basket. This representation is a mirror image of the original. The artwork is likely antique, judging by the medium, subject, and some small marks on the silk, but is well protected in a newer frame behind high-quality anti-glare art glass.
