Antique 19th century parian porcelain portrait bust of President Abraham Lincoln by Martin Milmore, circa 1865.

Martin Milmore (1844-1883) was an Irish-American sculptor known for his busts of prominent 19th-century American figures, most notably Abraham Lincoln. His sculpture is considered the best likeness of Lincoln. The original model was sculpted in the US and the parian busts made in Staffordshire, England. Signed on the back with incised "M. Milmore Sc."

Measures 14" tall x 7" wide x 6" front to back. Good condition. An identical bust sold Christie's September 30, 2009, Important American Furniture, Folk Art & Prints, Lot 108.
