"Gillyflower porcelain" refers to an 18th-century pattern, most famously by the Worcester and Caughley manufacturers in England. It features an underglaze blue, floral design that is often a spray of carnations.

W.H. Plummer was a prominent New York City retailer of fine china, crystal and silverware operating from the late 19th century until it closed in 1962. The company was a major purveyor to the "carriage trade".
