A CD edition of Bleach, Nirvana's debut studio album, originally released by Sub Pop in 1989 and representing the formative period of the band's development within the Seattle underground rock scene. Recorded primarily with producer Jack Endino, the album established Nirvana's early fusion of punk, heavy rock, and emerging grunge aesthetics and includes such notable recordings as "Blew," "About a Girl," "School," "Negative Creep," and "Love Buzz." The cover artwork features the distinctive high-contrast negative concert photograph associated with Bleach, with the Nirvana name prominently positioned above the image and the album title below. The front cover is written with the names of Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl in blue ink across the photographic artwork. The combination of all three members' names with Nirvana's debut album creates a particularly notable association between the band's classic lineup and the recording that documents its earliest studio era, preceding the international breakthrough of Nevermind.
