A mantel clock manufactured by The Sessions Clock Co. featuring a black-painted wood case with Greco-Roman architectural styling. The case is detailed with green and gold marbled pilaster panels and four fluted columns. It sits on four cast metal scroll feet with an antiqued brass-tone finish. The cream-colored circular dial displays black Arabic numerals behind a brass bezel and glass, containing two winding holes at the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. The internal mechanical movement is an eight-day spring-driven system featuring a cathedral gong and a bell for striking. The bottom edge of the dial is printed with the text: MADE BY THE SESSIONS CLOCK CO., FORESTVILLE, CONN. U.S.A.
