This mid-20th-century American hand-stitched patchwork quilt is constructed from small square patches, approximately 1.5 inches each, arranged in a large-scale nine-patch variation. The central field utilizes a diverse array of vintage scrap fabrics, including floral calicos, ginghams, stripes, and solids in a wide palette of colors, characteristic of mid-century feed sack era textiles. The quilt features three distinct borders: an inner narrow navy blue border with a white printed pindot pattern, a wide middle border of pale yellow cotton, and an outer border of navy blue cotton. The quilt is finished with a light pink binding and backed with a solid light pink cotton fabric. The hand-quilting is highly detailed, featuring a decorative interlocking cable or figure-eight pattern throughout the yellow and navy borders, with straight-line or diagonal quilting in the central patchwork field.
