The bowl is done in a lovely paneled form, with elegant hand chased floral and geometric designs, very skillfully done. One of the panels around the side contains a monogram of DD, which is not very noticeable due to the design of the bowl, and could easily be concealed by displaying the bowl with that side to a wall. The bowl is a good large size, guaranteed to make an impression however it's used or displayed. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Gorham, as well as other marks that likely indicate a custom ordered piece. The bowl stands about 5 1/2 inches tall and measures about 9 7/8 inches in diameter. The bowl weighs 802 grams or 28.3 regular ounces.
