Thomas Kerry (1929-1983): This Brooklyn, N.Y. native was also a self-taught artist who began his career as an art restorer. He loved painting fine art realism, devoting much time to include intricate details down to each blade of grass. He is most known for his open barn scenes and straw bonnet girls, but painted any scene that showed off American life.
