This charming 8" x 10" oil painting of Vermont milk cows in a country pasture is by noted Vermont artist Sandra Eames of Woodstock. It is signed and dated 2017. She chooses the frames for her artworks.

Sandra specializes in portraits of humans and animals, as well as landscapes showing the Vermont countryside. Her success rests on her Impressionistic brush strokes, her painterly use of color, and how she captures the natural light of Vermont. She has successful shows at the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester every year, and exhibits in local galleries. In this fine little painting, she uses earth-tones and rich shades of green to set off the warm and soft colors of the milk cows, who are resting during a long summer's day in their meadow.

Sandra Eames studied art in Los Angeles, Paris, and Florence. She spends many happy days in her rural art studio painting peoples' portraits on commission, and animals and Vermont landscapes out of love. Her animal portraits always capture the spirit and personality and the understanding of her subjects.
