Chinese forest maidens scene scroll, finely drawn and detailed in colored inks on paper, mounted on a silk brocade nakamawashi in shimmering, light golds in a floral vines under a seal script pattern, and a shimmering, golds and light blue, silk brocade ten and Ji in floral vines pattern (presents as shimmering green). At the top of the image there is a light and dark gold, silk brocade ichimonji in a flowering , leafy vines and dragons pattern. Above the ichimonji there are four, large, characters in black, kaishu script over a fine line drawing of dragon in shimmering, gold ink. The scroll is signed in Chinese xingshu script with one red seal mark at the upper right of the image. The scroll has a tan cord makio and kakeo at the top and light mahogany jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll silk brocade cover repeats the pattern of the ten and ji brocade. An export document is affixed to the upper left of the scroll and also to the exterior cover with a wax seal. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
