Description
LONELY GAS STATION - Alamogordo, New Mexico (C) George Diebold
"Starting each day long before it's light has it's rewards, and this pre-dawn encounter confirms that.
Leaving Alamogordo, New Mexico early one morning, I happened upon this absolutely pristine gas station. The attendant on duty couldn't have been friendlier but became a little nervous when I asked him to get down behind the counter in order to not disrupting my stark composition. He complied and the result was what you see here.
In 2010, the Cleveland Museum of Art acquired two of my images, Lonely Gas Station being one of them. The museum's curator, Tom E. Hinson commented, "George Diebold's work very much fits into our idea of what's really beautiful about this country".
As a side note, this image is also part of the permanent collections of the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City, MO.
Lonely Gas Station is available immediately as a 36"x27" true photographic print, the reproduction being on Fuji Crystal Archival paper.
The presentation includes a black museum frame and eight ply archival white matte.
Lonely Gas Station will be professionally packed and crated and delivered to you ready to hang.
Since this is a custom made item, all sales are final." - George Diebold
