"On a small strip of sand, the impact of two waves causes a mysterious liquid shape to appear.

If you recall your geography terms, it will help you understand my image, EVENING GHOST WAVE The sandbar creating the mysterious shape is known as an isthmus.
Located at Poipu Beach on the island of Kauai, this location was a constant source of fascination for me, never looking the same from one day to the next.
Most of the time, to the amusement of all the tourists, I was either kneeling in the surf or on top of an eight-foot ladder which I modified to hold my tripod.
Since the sand and direction of the waves changed from one hour to the next, so would the appearance of this natural phenomenon-which resulted in dozens of unique images all shot within ten feet of each other.
EVENING GHOST WAVE is a true photographic print, reproduced on Fuji Crystal Archive paper.
The print is Plexiglas laminated with an aluminum floating brace on the back which floats the print out from the wall.
The print is full- bleed and measures 42" x 36.4".
The edition is limited to only eight pieces and this particular piece is an artist proof!
