Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a black, gray and gold, dragon and phoenix medallions, silk brocade, signed, with numerous red seal marks in various sizes and shapes. In the foreground, six fisherman are poling their sampan around a white water bend between rocky bouldered riverbanks covered with gnarled trees and pines. Mid ground there is a cloud capped valley with three mountain peaks dotted with sparse habitat that recede into the distance in traditional Chinese aerial perspective. The image size is 25 3/4" wide x 51" high. With a dark silk hanging cord and storage cord at the top and black jikusaki at the bottom. The exterior scroll covering is of a light gold raw silk. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
