I started writing children's books many years ago and have been greatly influenced by fairy tales and children's stories in my writing. This painting has the feeling of a make believe land and magical adventures. I wanted to create a storybook feeling in this painting so that whenever someone looked at it, they would feel like they are going on a wonderful adventure.

I love the colors in this painting. They remind me of France, which I have not been to yet, but my husband and I long to go there someday, soon we hope! I know we would fall in love with it and probably would not want to leave. But, at least for now I can paint from my imagination about what I dream of when I think of this beautiful land.

This painting is on canvas but does not have stretcher boards. It could be framed though in a nice frame.
