Description

Painted on a family vacation in Camden ME--some ten years ago--the artist recreates the view from his hotel window.

Photographs do not do justice to the colors in this work. The hot reds, oranges and yellows of the sunrise are reflected in cold harbor waters. Heated tones are tempered by cold blues and dark grays of skies and water not yet lit by the sun.

This a very substantial paining. Rendered in oil on a 30" x 40" canvas, it measures 36" x 47" including heavy, ornate wood frame.

This really is an outstanding piece created in the post impressionist style. It would make an impressive addition to any collection.
