As a young African American boxer, Cassius Clay rose to prominence in the sport during the height of the Civil Rights movement. He soon converted to Islam, becoming Muhammad Ali, and quickly became an advocate for both Civil Rights and the Islamic faith. Ali is still remembered as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time.
