Emeralds are known as the "garden stone" because they have natural inclusions that can be as complex and beautiful as gardens within the stone. Inclusions can be found in the emerald in this ring, but this is a clear emerald with excellent colour saturation. There is a beautiful transparency to the stone. It is a natural emerald and has been oil treated-a technique used with almost all emeralds to bring out the colour of the stone.

The emerald measures 8 x 6.5 mm and is 1.4 carats. The single cut diamonds are .03 of a carat in total. The ring weighs 4 grammes. It is marked on the inside as platinum.
